VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice over WiFi) are voice call technologies for communication over LTE (4G) and WiFi networks. VoLTE and VoWiFi calls can be seamlessly transferred to 3G and 2G calls.
VoLTE benefitss

- The phone will remain in the fast LTE network for the duration of the call.
- Wider coverage and better call quality thanks to the lower 800 MHz frequency used in the LTE network.
VoWiFi benefits
- Significantly faster call initiation - saves time and battery power.
- The cellular network can be extended anywhere using an internet-connected WiFi hotspot.
- Mobile ID only works with a physical SIM card.
Important
- Currently VoLTE is not available abroad!
- In order to use VoLTE and VoWiFi, a compatible device and a smart plan are needed. VoLTE is enabled in both Estonian and European smart plans.
- No additional fees. VoLTE and VoWiFi calls and SMS messages are priced according to current plan.
- The other party of the call does not need to have VoLTE or VoWiFi capability.
- Emergency calls are currently always placed in the 2G or 3G network. The phone is transferred to the 2G or 3G network as soon as the call starts.
